If you’re new to the world of drinking your greens, you might be wondering—what’s the difference between a green juice and a green smoothie?
Both are nutrient powerhouses, but they serve different purposes.
Green juice, like my Lemon Verde (recipe below), is what I like to call high-speed nutrition. By removing the fiber, all the vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients are quickly absorbed into your bloodstream—making green juice incredibly medicinal and purposeful. It’s the perfect reboot—helping to get your bowels moving, boosting hydration, and delivering an energizing dose of nutrients right when you need it most.
Green smoothies, on the other hand, keep the fiber intact. They’re nature’s fast food, more filling, and a fantastic way to get a meal’s worth of nutrition in a glass. But because of the fiber, your body has to work a little harder to break them down.
There’s a time and place for both. But when your body is craving a dose of liquid sunshine, reach for a green juice.
My new Lemon Verde green juice recipe is a vibrant blend designed to help nourish you at a very deep level.
So check out the full recipe below, dust off your juicer, and get to the grocery store! Your cells are going to thank you.
Enjoy!
